Saltaire Films
The company was formed in 2006 on the back of the success of its predecessor Saltaire Productions, which produced three critically acclaimed and profitable short films - The Sunny Side of the Street (Channel 4 / Film Four); Lightweight (ITV) and Pink Champagne (ITV). All three were also shown at cinemas around the UK as well as at numerous festivals across the world. The Sunny Side of the Street was also released on video by Downtown Pictures.

Ed and Fergus have launched Saltaire Films with a slate of feature projects.
Our current films are set in Naples, Liverpool and Rome.
Fergus Colville – Director and Script Writer
For the past ten years Fergus has combined his filmwork with a career as a freelance director of feature documentaries making over twenty popular and critically acclaimed films for the BBC, C4, ITV and MTV.
Fergus has also lived and worked in Italy and has strong contacts with the Italian film industry.
Ed Ison – Producer
Ed is an award winning producer who for the past eight years has combined his filmwork with a career as a freelance editor specialising in the latest digital post production techniques. His film work has always been at the leading edge of technology testing new story telling tecniques including multi-screen work (Hindsight).
Ed has a track record of maximising the benefits of new technology to realise visually stunning films on challenging budgets. Ed is also a freelance lecturer on the Producers Course at the internationally renown Film MA at Bristol University.
